A hair styling technique with a French origin, meaning ‘An act of sweeping.’ This hair technique was first developed in France and was given its name because the hair stylist applied color to the hair with a sweeping technique or stroke. This free-hand painting is applied to the top and ends of the hair giving it a light and natural look.
